Ed went viral for his concert in India, where Indian star Diljit Dosanjh shared the stage with him, and they created a wholesome moment. His concert here is a part of the Thinking Out Loud singer’s Asia and Europe Tour. Ed sang Diljit’s popular number, ‘Lover,’ in Punjabi with the singer. He also performed at Shah Rukh Khan’s place Mannat. Director and a close friend of Shah Rukh, Farah Khan, shared the video on social media, and it was ‘Perfect.’ Meanwhile, Sir Elton is one of the most highly acclaimed and successful solo artists ever. He has sold more than 300 million records worldwide.

A few years back, Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton John came together for Merry Christmas, and according to NME, Sir Elton’s idea for the song remained because of his classic single ‘Step into Christmas.’ In an interview with Apple Music, Ed revealed that he almost killed Sir Elton with a bell in the video.

Ed Sheeran explained the incident: “I’m dressed up as sort of s*xy Santa Claus, and I kick a present, but the present had a big metal bell on top of it.” He continued, “I showed him the footage of it today because we slowed it down and the bell flew past his head and would’ve cracked him in the head. Oh my God, the horror that went through my body when it was flying through the air.”

Sir Elton John did not want Ed Sheeran to open up about their musical collaboration, Merry Christmas. John wanted to eclipse a YouTuber in the UK who released three songs about sausage rolls that became hits during Christmas. As per Showbiz Cheatsheet in a report by NME, John said, “We’ve got LadBaby to deal with! Once we bump him off, we might have a clear path to a hit record. He seems to have the monopoly on Christmas records. And good for him!”

Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton John’s Merry Christmas was at No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100.
